...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Ohio... Portage River At Woodville affecting Wood and Sandusky Counties. For the Portage River...including Woodville...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Portage River at Woodville. * WHEN...Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.5 feet, Homes in Pemberville upstream of Woodville inundated with a few feet of water and cut off. Water reaches the buildings in the business district. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 13.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.6 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.5 feet on 05/20/2020. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
