Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued March 26 at 7:18PM EDT until March 26 at 7:45PM EDT by National Weather Service Northern Indiana
At 717 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Wauseon to near Napoleon to Defiance, moving
east at 75 mph. Reports of up to golf ball size hail have been
reported with the southern most storm when it moved through
Henry county.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Defiance, Napoleon, Wauseon, Archbold, Swanton, Delta, Deshler,
Liberty Center, Holgate, Mcclure, Metamora, Hamler, Lyons, Texas,
Malinta, Florida, Evansport, Oakshade, Grelton, and Seward.
This includes Interstate 80 in Ohio between mile markers 26 and 48.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for northwestern
Ohio.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
